First off I know very little about speaker building and crossover electronics etc.
I Wanted to buy some used Aerial 8 speakers but the bass output was huge, way too much bass for most small or medium size rooms. I had to pass on buying the speakers even though they were nearly perfect in every other area. Simply beautiful finish, great mids and highs. The bass was tuneful and dynamic but just too plain LOUD.
As I drove away I begain to wonder just how difficult would it have been to somehow reduce the bass output from the 10 inch side fireing drivers besides using an equalizer. Can't be all that difficult can it?
Here is the stereophile review from a few years ago
Would it have been an easy fix?
