I want to get speakers. Right now I am thinking about the Swans M200 speakers or maybe a T-amp with some fairly efficient speakers. I already have decent headphones.
Requirements/Constraints:
Small room (maybe 14x20 shared by three people) (We have thick enough walls that bothering the neighbors is not a problem)
Cheapish (I don't mind buying used and abused) ($300 overall)
Small (I don't have room for a receiver AND bookshelfs
Intended use:
Music (Everything from Rock, to Latin, to Hip Hop, to techno)
Movies
XBox360
Right now I have all my sources switched via a KVM that does sound via 3.5mm miniplugs. It does actually provide very clean sound as my in-ear monitors show little noise and they are fairly noise sensitive.
I realize I am not going to get the best setup, but I want to get near there. So should I stick with the M200s or go for a little more homegrown with a cheap amp and bookshelfs?
