But if the cones aren't damaged, they can usually be pulled out easily enough with a vacuum cleaner. Missing spikes and loose posts shouldn't be a deal killer. I just like Carl M's speakers and this Alon is a very good one (these guys are now Nola). If you remember, this is the speaker Stereophile reviewed and put last in a roundup because it had a broken driver, but they reviewed the broken speaker anyway and it got an early bad rep.
