Re: Very good example. Now what if...

Makes perfect sense to me.
You appear to be genuine.

Some impressions from several years of reading many threads regarding your speakers in which you have participated, and which typically contain taunts and attacks from certain individuals, and defenses from your staunch supporters:

If I liked and owned your product I would be happy with your support and ongoing design improvements and upgrades. Nobody would force me to buy them. It wouldn't make the model/version I owned sound any worse.
If I liked and owned your product I would be happy with your participation on this forum. I'm happy when the maker of my gear participates here.
It appears that some of your customers are hugely happy with your product. Good for you. Good for them. Who cares what other people say.
Of course you still have to explain yourself, and politely; that comes with the turf.
I think that you've done a excellent job of representing yourself, your product, and your customers here. I suppose that makes you an even more desireable target for some to try to topple you.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not a Merlin owner, never have been and likely never will be. In fact I'll probably never hear any. I don't know bobby, and have no affiliation with him or with anybody who knows him or works for him.
