Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I'm no expert....

Keep in mind I'm no expert.. but I think the issue may the synergy(or lack of) of the solid tweeter on the Axiom and the silver wire. Not familiar with Audio Consulting,is it a heavy enough guage wire and is it pure enough?
Initially I was going to suggest Tara Labs Air cables as they would soften the edge but they are laid back. b4 trying new speakers,if you really like them; I would try Audio Metallurgy GA-0 IC (regular auctions @ agon $200-$300);is an excellent gold based IC & possibly Analysis Plus Oval 9 or Oval 8 (if you can afford) as SC. Copper based but very good at allowing a large amt. of detail. Both are easy resells.

And if it is going to be new speakers,Silverline Panatella, known for thier mid boost in dynamics and detail, with a more mellow tweeter than the Axiom.Or possibly some Von Schweikerts. (But I would check out the guage and purity of the silver in the AC wire.
Do not put up w/the fatigue and edge! Good Listening!
