I have 2 kids als. (4&7) and have a room of s.milar s.ze. I believe that you s.ould get a s.aller floors.ander as it is eas.er to knock a books.elf s.eaker off its bas..
My s.gges.ion would be Merlin VS.-MX's (I would call Bobby directly -he is very acces.ible and will ans.er any ques.on you will have) and a Berning ZH270 amp (tubes which are unexpos.d and run totally cool). The combination is fantas.ic and you can read about it on the many archived pos.s in this forum. You can make a decis.on regarding you digital s.t up later and s.ay w/ what you have, go to the dcs one box player, perhaps a Audio Aero Capitole or Prima or APL 3910 from Alex Paychev that everyone is raving about. Es.ecially with the mus.c you like, the Merlin/Berning/Lamm combination would be great.
