Yes, the BAM will impact your other speakers if it's still plugged in while you audition them. That is MOST logical. I have done that before and it gave an "enema" to my old Proac 2.5s.If you need deeper bass, you have three choices, maybe more:
1. Get a better amp/pre combo that will do the merlins justice
2. get a sub with your current rig if you are a bass freak
3. try different speaker positionshow big is your room?
