I have a pair of 52SEs. I drive them with a Rotel receiver only because this smaller system is in my den and i need it to drive two pair of speakers and this is the main system my kids use.In a main system, with your budget, I would recommend the following:
1. Naim Nait 5 and CD5. (used)
2. Plinius 8200 used and CDP of your choice.
3. Musical Fidelity new $995 amp would be greatDH Labs cables
