Re: Six amps later..

No, they sounded "right" from day one when I brought home the dealer's demo N804s to try for a weekend with the Classe'. Then, if you know anything about B&W speakers, the new N804s did not begin to sound "right" until I had around 75 hours on them. At around 200 hours, they were "right" , but continued to improve for another 200.
You missed the point. As my electronics and cables improved, so did the sound/timber/dynamics of my system.The N804s just let your system show what you paid for.
I am as happy with my system now as I expect to get. You could save money by using AES/Cary Six Pacs and the DJH pre, but they were not available when I bought my amp/pre.
