I also use the Elites. Ken is right - the ribbon tweeter is very detailed, articulate, dynamic, sweet and refined. I would never call it "shrill" or "harsh".I do think that there's a narrow frequency range in the upper midrange (presence zone) that is slightly emphasized (You may call me tweeter weenie boy). As I'm a non-naimie I'm allowed to experiment with the wires ;-) It's not really a big deal though.
But it seems to me that Mystique would be the ideal choice for you. Very hard to imagine that you can go wrong with it.
FrenchFries, I feel absolutely no problem with Neat's timbral ability. To my ears it is not a seriously "coloured" speaker. I admit that I haven't bothered maximizing the soundstage/imaging tricks.
