Don't underestimate the Mystique.
If there's "harshness" heard, it isn't coming from the Neats.
The sweetness and refinement in the treble along with their tunefulness are amoungst the greatest strengths of the Neat speaker lineup, esp those using the radial ribbon tweeter.I've used Neat speakers(Elite, Elite SE,Critique) with a broad scope of partnering sources, amplification and ancillaries for over the past 3 years and think the idea so strange as to be bizarre.Anyone claiming "harshness" either has system & setup issues upstream or is furthering some agenda.Period.
As for the Petite, you'll find that they are slightly more dificult to drive than the Elite and would not think them a particularly good match to a Nait. It's not the power that's an issue as they can be driven satisfactorily by as little as 20-25 watts but they really come into their own with amplification that has a bit of authority and speed .I wouldn't advise a subwoofer other than Neat's own dedicated Gravitas.Best,
