Hi Emil,
I own Neat Elites and Critiques and consider them amoungst the most musically competant loudspeakers available.
I have no idea where you came up with the idea that the Elite's radial ribbon tweeter exhibits any "shrillness". I find it sweet, expansive and open.The only caveat is that the Elite really needs a serious amplifier to give of its best(NAP250 territory and above).IME,it's just a bit on the polite side when underpowered.
The Mystiques would be an ideal match to your Nait 5 and are by far the most versatile speaker that Neat produce.Best,
