Sub/ biwre/ length of cables

Because of my room layout I drilled two holes and ran the cables under the house aprox. 20 feet and connected them to my speakers. I'm using Paradigm studio 20's that are currently bi wired.
I want to use my sub. What would be the harm in just "single wireing" using jumpers for the monitors then using the other wires to hook to the sub.
Don't want to add any more leangth, it's too long already and if I hooked up the sub in the traditional manner, I would be adding more leangth.
I think it would work fine, the sub is powered so it would only use the signal comming from the amp, the monitors don't have to be biwired as far as I am concerned.
What do you think?
