Ray,
The MG1.6 is voiced with a slightly soft midrange. I posted to the planar asylum a simple modification that boosts the output by 2.5dB at the crossover point (600Hz). This voicing sounds more neutral to my ears than the stock one. The mod doesn't require any internal changes, so you can try it before trading in your MG1.6. You may decide to keep them after all.
