Re: "Fast TL's"

So your saying that smaller drivers typically are not quicker or more responsive than larger drivers ? I'm assuming equal motor structures with the differences being only in driver size and overall mass.

While i might have "oversimplified" your statements, you surely did say that a driver is "fast enough" if it reproduces the primary frequency or notes. You stated that if a woofer was not "fast enough" to reproduce bass notes that it would only be making subsonic noise. That still does not mean that it was doing it linearly. I simply "extrapolated" your statement out to 5 khz for the same driver to try and get clarification on some specific points.

I might have a strange way of showing it, but i do appreciate the time and effort that you have put forth into most of your posts. Sometimes i play "devil's advocate" in order to make a point or to "drag" more detailed info out of those responding. It's sometimes very easy for those with detailed knowledge to talk over the top of most people's heads. It's almost as if we assume it to be "common knowledge" while it really isn't. "Advocating" and getting responses from it can sometimes give others enough information to follow along a little better while making the forum both more enjoyable and educational. Sorry if you took it the wrong way. Sean
