There's a lot of good product at the ~$4k price point. I'm sure others could list another dozen prospects. If you're going to build a full music/HT system (7.1), then, at least for me, I need to consider the rest of the speakers. For instance, the LCR-15 from VSR is the typical MTM design which means it will suffer from horizonal dispersion problems. This for me might be a deal breaker (unless Albert is working on a proper center with a vertical tweeter/mid stack in the center). The Revel does it "right". The B&W 700 series is essentially a two-way, so it's OK. The Paradigm Signature center does it "right" too (vertical tweeter/mid in the center, flanked by woofers on either side). Then there's the surrounds. For me, since I can't decide, I really really must have a switchable surround. On this count, Albert has the TS-150, a very nice looking unit (plus in the website picture it comes in veneer finish which I like). The Revel and the B&W also have this option.Having said all that, I've found a local dealer and will be visiting them soon to hear the VR-4jr.
Thanks,
Jeff
