Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I agree with JohnL below....

I have been working on my system for over 18 years (with little funds). I to, suffer from audiophile nevosious! I am never satisfied. Some lucky audiophiles manage to be content (not condisending) with a system that they worked hard to get that synergy we'll call "audio nirvana". I believe eveyone's nirvana will probably be somewhat different. Many will never find it, because perfect sound reproduction doesn't exist. At least I've never heard it. I have a limited experience with audio equiptment, but I bet most professional reviewers would agree. I have never read a review that states the system they are reviewing sounds excatlly like a live preformance. Maybe someday the means will be discovered. Until that day we'll just have to enjoy the fruits of our labor. I am not saying you have to be satified with anything, but we can enjoy the music and that long road that leads to nirvana (even if we never get there)
