No, I should have said that the N801 sounds reticent = polite around the presence region, 1-3 kHz. The Krell amp is a better match than say, a Levinson, which is relatively laid back. The effective cone diameters are more like 5.3" and 13" for the mid and woofer. I don't think there is much of a speed mismatch, based on the excellent male and female vocal reproduction. What I perceive as a speed problem is how quickly things in motion can be stopped. I've heard plenty of panel loudspeakers that can start quickly, but exhibit panel resonances that blur the silent space between the notes.
