General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I agree that "speakers can sound good all the time". But, "good" isn't synonymous with "always mellow"..

My main point was that real instruments can (and do) hurt the ears sometimes, at least slightly. And so, speakers cannot or should not be considered truly "good" if they don't have the dynamic capabilities to translate the occasionally hurtful sounds of real instruments - as long as that info is actually present on a recording, of course...

That's all I was ever trying to say.
