"...really, this is the stupidest post I've seen on any web-site all week...impressively stupid in fact..."
Thank you, 817, but you don't say why. Why?
You're like the guy who lights his own hair on fire, or burns all of his money...every penny...or leaps from a tall building without leaving a note...or paying his bill".
It's like the death of pretty, young Gabby Petito, and the subsequent death of her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, about which you may've possibly heard... or, maybe not:
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/gabby-petito-s-cause-death-was-strangulation-coroner-determines-n1281319
Or, the death of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and for that matter Vladimir Lennin.
Indeed, there's a popular television series called: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unsolved_Mysteries
My guess's that you're uninterested in any of that. Loosening my belt a few notches and grabbing a high calorie beverage, I'd speculate even further and say that you're the kind of person who goes through life feeling angry and pissed all of time, without knowing why, or being able to explain why. Sort of like the Hulk, except in a trivial way, and without fictional, movie-glory, super hero power.
"the stupidest post I've seen on any web-site"...but nobody knows why.
The OP, aptly named Peppy, seems like a fun guy. Great guy. (His response to me was delightfully funny). The premise of his thread, however, is based on a logical fallacy.
It's like saying the ground looks flat, hence, the earth is flat. Or, the sun and stars appear to orbit the earth, hence, the universe orbits our flat earth. Or, birds have wings. Airplanes have wings. Hence, airplanes are birds.
Etc.
Those are syllogisms. If you attend college (and actually attend classes), you learn about logical fallacy arguments in freshman logic classes.
But, rather than launching into a boring, lengthy, epistemological rebuke to Peppy's logical fallacy, I just put up a humorous post. The cartoon should've been a dead giveaway.
That was my mistake.
