John,What you saying is mere speculation as it seems Mr. Olson and not a few speaker manufacterers do not agree with you. If I understand you clearly, you are basically saying the preferred crossover point for a 'decent' tweeter is ~2.5KHz with 24dB/octave crossover. Your post bears the hallmark of classic armchair criticism, did you test this hypothesis of yours anywhere? Do you have reliable experimental evidence to prove your point? Even your comments on kevlar are not really shared by Mr. Olson. If you have any information that backs your comments, I look forward to seeing it, but without it, well...
