How do you define each?

"Room correction" vs. "room compensation" that is.

My reference to "room correction" was digital room correction using impulse response convolution.

It's either no good or I did it wrong. To those who swear by DRC, we'll just say it was the latter... ;-)

I'm not against DSP at all - in fact most listening I've done in the last 15 years is through DSP/Active based multi-way systems. But, in the case of DSP/Active you're using the same measurement techniques used to develop passive crossovers - where the goal is to minimize room information in the measurements to the extent possible.
