Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Some do, some don't. Additionally, there are rooms and recordings to consider...

Some rooms emphasize certain frequencies over others. Some recordings do too. Several factors working together could be contributing to the problem(s) you say you are hearing.

Why should high-end speakers be any different ? Some of the most expensive speakers around have been found to have faulty engineering.

If all of this suggests to you that it can be hard to pinpoint the cause of frequency response anomalies without a slew of measurements, then you are probably even smarter than you realized.
