RE: ATC50A Active Speaker

I think this would be a great option. I'm partial to ATC speakers myself. I've owned the SCM-19 in the past, and currently own the SCM-40 V2.

Let me throw out an option you may not have considered: Look at the ATC SCM 50 passive and get a Devialet 440 Expert Pro (used). The Speaker Active Matching will safely extend the Bass register significantly.

IMHO, the SCM40 V2 with the Expert Pro 1000 (w/SAM), performs at a higher level than the active version of the SCM 40.
