Separate ATC amps get very good reviews, not spectacular but they are far from 6 figure amps. But you also have to include that we are talking about active speakers with 2 special advantages both speaker and amp wise. First there are multiple amps reducing possible interaction through the bandwidth and minimizing peak affects in one driver affecting another. Even more importantly the crossover is in front of the amp and the amp doesn't have to feed nearly as crazy a load with only a voice coil to drive and not a crazy crossover load. It's one reason 6 figure amps work so well. It often takes that much design effort to drive crossovers.
Audiophiles aren't into active speakers but all things being equal active speakers are superior.
