I asked about feedback about the ATC 50A speakers because I hoped to get reasoned thoughts on their sound, what people thought they did well and didn't do well.
I have experience for decades with speakers and there's one thing I know that electrostatics don't do extremely well and that's linear dynamics, changing levels accurately from micro to macro. Electrostatics are clean and smooth but they compress, especially on a piano which I recall Bud Fried(IMF and Fried speakers) told me was the 3rd hardest thing to reproduce after male and female voice.
