I lived with the sC40A powered version for a month and it's hard to beat an active version for similar money for a speaker and amp.I wrote a review for Stereo Times.
By the way the last speaker Gordon Holt, the founder of Stereophile and the style of reviewing that's become the norm, was a set of ATC 50A powered speakers. Gordon did huge amounts of live recordings and he told me the ATC speakers was one of a very few speakers that made his recordings sound like the live performance.
