RE: More on AR woofers

In the 60s if you had a problem with an AR product they would tell you to ship it to them. If you didn't have an AR shipping box they would send you one free and fix your product and return it paying for shipping both ways.

I had a college roommate with an AR turntable that threw a visible electric spark if you got within inches of it. He sent the table back under the same warranty and it came back with free updates. By the way the spark was from poor grounding. The table was grounded through the rubber drive belt which was supposed to have talcum powder on it and belt had been wiped.
