I owned the Meta version for about 6 months. We had just built a new house and first I put them with a Naim Unity Atom in our large living room, and also with a Rogue Sphinx 3 in my main listening room (17 by 20). I can see why some folks, like John Atkinson, love them. They are very coherent and have a very smooth, clean, precise, somewhat analytic presentation and the music floats free of the speakers in vertical and horizontal directions. The bass is tight and pacey, with a hint of punch, and they are basically fun to listen to. They lack a little meat on the bones, however, compared to the Zu Dirty Weekends that replaced them, and my 5 times more expensive Devore Super 9s in the main listening room. I'd think they would be great in a smaller room and you can put them fairly close to the wall behind them to boost the bass. But certainly a different presentation than a Zu or Devore.
