RE: Tube amplifier for KEF 104AB

There's a review by Richard C. Heyser in Audio magazine for Dec. 1979. I had a pair for a number of years and with careful placement, they sounded very good. In the listening window, the response was pretty even, but the off axis dispersion was not very even between 1-3 kHz, so it should be kept away from side walls.

The minimum impedance is about 7 ohms, but it was considered a pretty reactive speaker.

By today's standards, the tweeter, rated at 8 watts, is not very robust. As Heyser noted, the woofer is undamped and so can be excited by record warps on a few recordings.
