by heritage I meant historical heritage and to be accurate let me restate that the BBC version of the 2 cubic foot box did not have a super tweeter. But the production speakers that were basically 'almost twins' of the BBC added super tweeters and my suspicion is that was part of the reason for the latest Harbeth.
You need to recall that in the 60s and early 70s tweeters that went out to 20 kHz were rare and the use of a super tweeter was an occasional solution. Another good example was the IMF monitor speaker and the smaller IMF studio.
And I'll repeat the lower wave forms are affected by the harmonics above including the supersonic harmonics. Why do you think amplifiers strive for wide band frequency response?
