You still don't want to put low frequencies into small drivers. They try to move anyway and the voice coils heat up more which changes their characteristics. A proper high pass is better.

And I repeat Mark is wrong about the amount of air moved. If each driver had an area of 1 square inch(it's less) the 112 of them have an area of 112 square inches. A quick estimate of the area of one 18" driver is conservatively over 150 square inches and that just one driver. Plus the 18" driver probably has an XMAX of at least 1 inch and even the best one inch driver has an XMAX of at best a few millimeters. In the bass there's no comparison. In the high treble where it matters less it's a slightly different situation. If Mark can explain otherwise, knowing how smart he is, I'm ready to listen but skeptical so far.
