I really like the LS3/5a(at least the ones that really follow the BBC script) I find it an interesting combination of pluses and minuses. For mw its greatest flaw(and one many, many speakers also have to some degree) is dynamic linearity, linear changes in level from micro to macro, which I will argue is absolutely necessary to make a fine recording sound almost real.
