After having done a great deal of soul searching | concluding I desired something with a tad more mid-bass impact | slam | as well as extended hits, I bit the bullet and went in a totally different direction with a pair of Neat Acoustics Ministra's, of which I'm very very very happy I did | as someone whom once again came into our shared hobby ( passion ) starting in 1978, while stationed in Okinawa Japan, with several LS 3/5A types, which led to exploring the likes of various versions of the ProAc Tablette's | Linn Kans and Kan 2s | Acoustic Energy AE-1 Signatures and so on, the one common pattern in hindsight was all of them suffered to convey anything lower than say 70Hz, so more or less I had become immune to said types of mini's which essentially weren't offering me anything besides wonderfully balanced treble to mid-bass extension, but that's it.
Longer story somewhat shorter | it appears my gut instincts have paid off | then some as I've welcomed into our home a type of sound, no make that a musically balanced rendering of notes which simply speak volumes to not only my ears | mind | heart | very core, but have me transfixed in such a manner of which I've to admit while taking 45 years to have reached..., said journey was more than worth it | once again a reality check on why I've always, and i literally mean always preferred the manner in which British speakers | turntables | electronics, for me spoke to me in a manner many domestic brands, with the exception of the original Martin-Logan CLS | Quicksilver Audio | Cary Audio | Music Research | Wadia | Conrad-Johnson | Mark Levinson Design | Muse Electronics | Mod Squad CDPs during the mid 80s could.
So ends another voyage into the unknown | but welcomed sense of growth.
