1st - how deep was the bass and what was the frequency? Sign waves, square waves, triangle waves for their demonstration? Do you even know? If you go low enough in frequency in a 'Demo' designed to prove and sell you the validity of "their concepts' and sell you whatever it is they are selling, that is not music in your room. You can think what you want but I know better, and crossing over at 50hz means your sub still has a meaningful output at 100 hz with a 12db crossover, and so on so forth.
2nd - have you experimented like myself for many years to integrate subs into a room, a regular house room with variable crossovers into 5 subs? That's what I have and use to this day and I did it for over 8 years and finally settled on what works in my room. Back and forth I went many times because I'm a nutjob who doesn't settle for "good enough".
