Interesting. I had a DB systems preamp decades ago. It's still being made.
Fried goes way back to the 50s when he was an importer of audio and a retailer, one of the pioneers of audio after WWII. Then he put his name, IMF(Irving M Fried), on British speakers and finally made his own Fried speakers until the early 2000s
