Good questions Teejay. I've only played mine about twenty hours and they have smoothed out considerably. There was some sibilance at first. Maybe I have a way to go before they sound their best. That would be a real treat!Maybe in your situation with the amp and room they might be bright. I like the sound but they sure aren't of the dull, rolled off nature. They really aren't bright in my bedroom with Wave 8's but they are very detailed. Get them and check it out. Only $100.
