I am not sure of the wisdom of choosing old speakers for Receivers of the 70s. There are outstanding speakers like Epos 5, MA SX2, Tekton Lore and others in the sub 1k range. There are amazing speakers in the $1.5 range like KEF LS50, Nola Boxer, Linn Majik and others. These will be well driven by those Receivers.
