The price is right?

Our reviewer says MSRP is $1500, but NFR's site says US$2116: hummm??

Looks like NFR is still recommending Bryston and assorted digital amps, including Panasonic receivers(!), and active bi-amping via digital crossovers. One wonders whether they migh sound better with tubes or high class A-biased components. Anyone know?
