You can drive them with anything really. I have tried all types of small tube amps and even Bryston SS stuff. The real deal would be Leak KT88 or Quad amps as those are what was used "back in the day". Plenty of other choices out there. US or UK made amps using EL34 are very sweet and rich though those. You need to have the Tannoys in a proper cabinet though. They don't produce a rich, deep bass response until they are in huge cabinets despite their size. They are all about clarity and accuracy. When you get some big boxes to put them in and can sit way back from them, they really rock.
