First "Goosebump" experience was in 1988. It was a pair of
Duntech Princes. The dealer let me play Joe Satriani
"Surfing with the alien" on his flagship system. WOW!!
Still remember it to this day.2nd time was about 4 years later and was a pair of
Wilson Audio X-1's. Karen Sumner of Transparent cable had
just wired the system up with the then top of the line
Transparent Audio speaker cable. Holy @#$% is all I could
keep saying. I have never heard Queen sound so "alive" and
it had that "musician in the room" presence. Freddy Mercury's
piano was "in the room".There have been a few others. Dahlquist DQ-10. Ariel 10t.
RTR electrostatic arrays with dedicated subs.My pair of Acarian systems Alon l's would give me goosebumbs
on a regular basis but this took years of fine tuning my system
and my dedicated listening room.Regards,
Kenster
