Hi Jeff,Lots of opinions here I am sure. I've heard a couple of your choices but not all. All are OK depending on source but probably a bit wimpy for your purpose. All that is except the Legacy Focus. Most who have heard them (check out audioreview.com) either love or hate them but vast majority love them. Great dynamics and range, very high efficiency and power handling, extremely quick across the entire audio band, and they move more air than almost any single speaker pair available.
Listeners that do find fault usually say that they are too direct/forward. They are somewhat overpowering for some types of sources but that seems to be what you are after, as I was when I bought mine.
You have more than enough power to get the volumes you want and the Focus will not lose their cool when you do up the power levels.
