General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Re: A thought: What about the music in this hobby?

Ahh but it is still fun to have an opinion on gear. The above post about Canadian speakers for instance. My taste is not geared there - but I don't have to be right - some folks love that sound. I would hope they heard differet designs before coming to their conclusion - if so you can't argue with taste.

After reading a stereotimes review of the Audio Note AN E/D again I realized that while the reviewer like the speaker better than some more expensive speakers - he did note that the Klipshhorn bested the E in area 1 while the Apogee bested the E in area 2 and another bested the E in area 3.

He preferred the overal sound of the E the best but the E did lose out in specific areas. SO if you're like me and want the overall flavour to be musical and non fatiguing then it might be your choice - but if one of those areas where the Klipshhorn was best was absolutely critical to your music enjoying experiece the E might not be for you.

And this is what I failed to consider. Not everyone wants the same thing from a system that I want.
