Thanks! It turns out that the Minuets are *nearly* the same sensitivity as the Alpha B1's, and they are apparently very dynamic. But ... it does seem like you can't break the laws of Physics with a smaller woofer (though that smaller woofer has dual-magnets). I don't know.
I purchased a pair of PSB-PS1's with a 3 1/2" woofer and, while they sound nice, they don't even come close to the Alpha B1's in the low-end or overall. But then they aren't "better" speakers either. So I wondered how much better the Minuets or Imagine Mini's might fare on the lower end in comparison. The PS1's are only rated for something like 80Hz as opposed to the Minuets/Mini's rated 55-60Hz.
