Right now I'm running a Pioneer SX-750 receiver with a B&O TX2 turntable with an MMC5 cartridge and I'm looking for the best set of speakers to pair with them. My budget is around $300-400 and the setup is in a smallish room.
I'm willing to buy used. Right now, through some local deals, I can get a pair of KEF iQ90s a little past my budget. There are also Paradigm Monitor 7s, which I think are v2s that are under my budget as well as Monitor 3v2s that are really under my budget. Right now, some of my buy new options are: Paradigm Atoms, KEF C1, C3, and C7, Cambridge S30, PSB Alpha B1 and B4, and Anthony Gallo Micros. Also, if you make suggestions, I'd prefer that they be speakers I'd be able to demo at a local store. I'm not a fan of the "Order, and if you're not satisfied, return it within 30 days!" system.
