RE: Absolute Sound review of Daybreak Model 22

Hi,
Keith Campbell was my father. In regards to what happened to the company, he basically gave his all to designing these speakers for years then after the first batch went to market and were a great success, he ordered another batch of the Audax drivers for another production run and the drivers were sonically different to the point that he would have to start over with the crossover design and spend another 2 years perfecting it to get back to where it was in the previous batch. So he was basically unable to make any more speakers and the company went bankrupt.

Considering these speakers are what he devoted the best years of his life to I'd really like to find a pair. I've never actually heard them surprisingly.. just an unfinished pair of leftover MDF cabinets that he later installed drivers and a crossover in for his personal use. They sounded great but we're nowhere near the production version. Even that pair was lost before his death unfortunately.
