Seeking bookshelf speaker recommendations...warm, lush, smooth..Wharfedale Denton Anniversary?

I have been out of the loop for a while, listening to my Audioengine 2s. I like their smooth sound and accentuated low midbass response. Yes, I realize they are eq'd and not flat. I am fine with that. I can't stand accurate speakers. I have tried older Harbeths and Spendors and ended up disappointed. I did have a pair of Spendor Preludes I liked for a while. Anyway, I'm thinking of trying non-powered speakers again with my tube amp. I was considering a pair of Wharfedale Denton Anniversary speakers. I've had these before, but didn't keep them long enough to give them a fair chance. They were too small for the room I had at the time. I am wondering if I've missed anything semi-recent that has come out on the market that meets my criteria: warm, smooth, lush, veiled, forgiving, lush, dark, rolled-off, bloated bass and mid-bass, etc. You get the picture. I like warm and buttery sounding speakers. No interest in vintage stuff from the '70s or older. No interest in Spendor S3/5 before those recommendations come pouring in. No interest in the new Harbeths. No interest whatsoever in metal dome tweeters. Budget under 2000. Any ideas? Thanks!
