My recommendation too. However the link posted is to the passive version. The OP wants an active speaker ( well, at least powered) and the ATC SCM20 is passive. The active equivalent is the SCM20ATSL which is a tower speaker. If the OP is using the word "monitor" in the American fashion which denotes a stand mount loudspeaker then the tower won't suit.I think that to use ATC he will need to switch to the professional range and get the pro version, the SCM20ASL Pro. Fabulous speaker which will meet all of his requirements. However he gives no indication of budget (which is really essential for this kind of query). These I guess will cost around $7000 a pair - a big jump from Audioengines.
