Over the last year I have managed to accumulate a few Velodyne subwoofers.I currently have 2 operational HGS12, and one more that can be serviced, and finally a HGS18.My room is 14 by 17, and if you face the front wall on the left hand side is open with a formal dining room attached. So the left hand speaker does not have a corner. My initial thought was to use the HGS18 on the front wall next to the left speaker with no corner. A HGS12 loaded in the right front corner. The third HGS12 behind my listening couch in the rear left hand corner and aimed at the right hand side.
A friend of mine who is big into high end HT believes I should load the HGS18 in the front right corner and use the HGS12 in the other corners to smooth the response out.
Any thoughts or recommendations?
