It has come to my attention that I have not followed the rules as carefully as I should have. I have been a member of the Asylum for quite some time. I am an avid (rabid) audiophile and am very passionate about this hobby. I have been into this for 40 years.
Fairly recently I became a dealer for a number of products. Having already been a longtime member here, simply as a user, with no industry affiliations, I was not aware of the rules specifically set for dealers. I have been stating my views on both products that I carry and do not carry. I have been totally objective on the products whether I sell them or not. If I hear something I like, I state it, if it is not to my taste, I state that as well. After looking at the rules for "dealers", I realize my mistake.
My user name is followed by (D) which is the designation for "dealer". That may not be clear enough for some people. My friend "mikel", as well as a user I respect, "DeKay", have pointed out that if I make a statement about a product I carry, I should make it clear that I have the line. I agree with them and will do so in the future.
I am an audiophile first and foremost. I enjoy participating here at AA and value the opportunity to converse with others that are as passionate about audio as I am.
Please accept my apologies if my actions have upset you. This certainly was not my intention. My intention was to share in a hobby that I love and that is all. Those who know me know this to be true.
